Distinguished leadership:

　　Hello, first of all, thank you in spite of being very busy to glance reading my recommendation letter to apply for a study opportunity in your school. My name is LiuQiong and will graduate from high school in this June.

I am much honored to present the letter of self-recommendation. Because of my interest and good grades in English, I would like to apply for English Major in your university.

The high school life in Luo Yang, cultivates my rigorous scientific thinking method, I also created a positive and optimistic attitude towards life and pioneering spirit of innovation consciousness. Basic knowledge of both Chinese culture and English culture strengthened my confidence in learning English in your university. I also accumulate the learning skills and the spirit of hardworking. In the three years of my high school, I have a very good professional knowledge; learning achievement has come out in front.  In my spare time, I read a lot of professional and extra-curricular books and practice the piano.　

I am very lucky to grow up in a scholarly family which helps me develop the learning habits and the skill of learning.  From the kindergarten to high school, I am always praised by my teachers and my classmates as a talented and hardworking student. Over the past few years, I have studied professional knowledge hard, started from the basic knowledge of each course and achieved good results. In the recent test, I have achieved the top 372 in LuoYang and my English score is 134.

My father always tells me to “Stay hungry, stay foolish.” “Progress is the activity of today and the assurance of tomorrow”. “Success is getting what you want; happiness is being satisfied with what you get”. I am deeply impressed by these three words. I always believe that life as the sword of iron casting, hone and wait. Over the past three years, I don’t dare to slack, hold and cherish each opportunity to cultivate my own view of life. And I know: a young man, can through continuous learning to improve themselves, to prove himself in practice. Looking back at the third year of high school, from an ignorant child to cross-century talents of all-round development of morality, intelligence and physique condensed the meantime I struggle and glory, happiness and bitterness of failure.

 Dear sir / miss, if I can win your appreciation, I will dutifully take practical action to prove to you. Once again extend my most sincere thanks!
